From January 6, 2018, the amendments to the RA Law on Citizenship came into force, stating additional conditions for obtaining citizenship of the Republic of Armenia based on the marriage with the citizen of the Republic of Armenia.

On December 28, 2017, the amendments to the RA Law "On Citizens Who Have Not Passed Compulsory Military Service" in Armenia have entered into force.
The law, which was adopted in 2003 and had been extended for several times, will operate until December 31, 2019.
