In accordance with Article 314 of the Tax Code of the Republic of Armenia, the Tax Authority shall approve the status of RA resident of the companies and individuals in order to ensure the application of international agreements (contracts, conventions) between the Republic of Armenia and other states.

I.e. to establish resident status can apply as individuals or organizations and the document can also be provided via verification of the form issued under the laws of a foreign country by the Tax Authority, if its content is consistent with the resident’s status certificate established by the Republic of Armenia.
Within two business days, the tax authority shall issue a certificate confirming the resident status of the Republic of Armenia or deny it in writing, indicating the reason.
For receiving a certificate of resident status of the Republic of Armenia, the following shall be submitted:
in the case of an organization, information on the type and amount of income received in a foreign state, and a copy of the documents confirming the receipt of income in a foreign state, if any;
in the case of an individual:
information on the type and amount of income received in a foreign state and, in the case of availability, a copy of the documents confirming the receipt of income in a foreign state,
copies of all passport pages of the citizen,

The calculation of the time period for the person's stay in the territory of the Republic of Armenia or the reasoning of the existence of the center of vital interests in the territory of the Republic of Armenia via the free expression, attaching the copies of the confirming documents.
Approval of the resident status of the Republic of Armenia may be made for both current and prior tax years if all the necessary documents relating to the previous tax years and confirming the fact of residency exist.
