The October 3, 2019 amendment to lotteries introduced a number of restrictions for lotteries or totalizer organizers.

Starting November 1, 2020, any licensed lottery or sweepstakes organizer can organize one bookmaker or one directly (through the game room) totalizator only within the administrative borders of the Tsaghkadzor community of the Kotayk marz, within the administrative boundaries of the Jermuk marz community of Vayots Dzor, within the administrative borders of the Sevan community of the Gegharkunik marz, in the administrative borders of the Meghri community of the Syunik marz, in each administrative center of the marzes of the Republic of Armenia and in each administrative center of the marzes cities of the Republic of Armenia and in each administrative center of the marzes of the city of Armenia and one in each administrative center of Yerevan.
The total area of each service hall in game rooms and bookmakers should not exceed 200 square meters.
The organizer is obliged to check the identity documents of the individuals who wish to enter the gaming room, as well as the fact that the court has not imposed restrictions for the totalizer participation.
It is forbidden to deposit and withdraw cash from the accounts of participants of the totalizator's cash in cash, with the exception of cases of organizing the totalizator directly or through the bookmaker, subject to mandatory confirmation of identity and attainable age. The above accounts are replenished, and funds are cashed only through payment and settlement organizations.
Prohibited Organizing lotteries with non-lottery, lottery, combined, totalizator (including internet totalizer) lottery through automated equipment in the Republic of Armenia / This part shall enter into force on the 1st day of the 7th month following its publication.
